Khorgiin Togoo (Khorgo) is a volcanic crater in Tariat soum, Arkhangai Province, within Khorgo–Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park. Dark lava fields and wooded slopes surround the crater, with views toward Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake. Follow established paths to enjoy the volcanic landscape.
Best time to visit
June–September for walks and lake scenery. Spring can be muddy; autumn brings golden woodland. Winter visits require local planning for snow, ice and limited services.
Getting there
Travel toward Tsetserleg and Tariat, then take the local approach to Khorgo. The airport road model is about 675 km / 8 h 47 min without stops. Its endpoint is 372 m from the pin in a straight line; confirm parking and the final walking path locally.

Stay on established paths, protect the lava formations and take your waste away. Confirm park entry, accommodation and seasonal opening with local operators.
Safety
Wear sturdy shoes; loose volcanic rock, steep crater edges and ice can make walking hazardous. Carry water, warm layers and offline maps. Avoid exposed edges during strong wind or thunderstorms.
